I cant tell if these photos are technically good . I like the dimensions of the background and how there are a million things to look at. Oh, and that Thomas is in them. Taking photos of Thomas is a definite role reversal for the two of us. He is usually taking other peoples photos and rarely gets his photo taken. Also we are different types of photographers. I don't direct my subject I just take continuous photos and it confuses him as to what he should be doing.

Its great.

p.s the weather is back to being winter. Its not that cold but it is snowing, and its very windy. In general SLC is very dark. Meaning not enough light for an amateur like me to take outfit post.

I no longer have the internet at my apartment. Its really odd. I admit that the internets is quite a large part of my life. I like to watch movies on Netflicks instant while I sew or more likely pin my hems in place. I hope to regain the internet soon enough.

It suppose to be Spring now, I bought the chocolate eggs and bunnies to prove it. Non the less there is a snow storm outside. I want it to be warm enough to not have to wear tights. BUT its also nice to have an actual reason to wear my plastic boots.

I am working on a small clothing line for Springs Fashion Stroll, May 21st. Here are some sketches.

I've begun sewing and so far I've finished some shorts. Woo! I'm quite proud of how cute they turned out.

I decided to make the line because as is I spend so much time sewing. At first I designed a small line that I thought was "Marketable". Then I realized I might as well just do my own thing, or else it wouldn't be as enjoyable. My "own thing", is basically sweet Americana prints and fabrics with cut-out and fabric harnesses. I think that the combination of the two really balances out. I'm not so worried about whether people love and buy it but, I would like them to. I just want to make something I like and can be proud of.

SIDENOTE: Yesterday I meet the artist Jeff Hein! I had booked him for a High School program I've created and am facilitating for the Salt Lake Art Center. His studio is AMAZING! He told me he bought it 3 years ago and it use to be a porn studio. I thought hmm... no wonder it so nice. The house porn built. The night before I meet him I couldn't sleep, I was SO nervous. Im just too anxious of a person, I need to calm down. He also thought I was right out of High School. I wonder what I really do look like to other people. Luckily everything went smoothly.

I have a new obsession to add to my list of vices.

1) Candy (CHOCOLATE)
2) Food
3) Shoes
4) Dresses
6) RUPAUL'S DRAG RACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thomas had Greg and I watch like 4 episodes of the 1st season. As people who love both America Next Top Model and Project Runway. WE ADORED IT! We cant get enough! We have watched the first whole season and its the only thing we can talk about. My favorite contestant was Nina Flowers. I liked how genuine and interesting she was. I found her website, and... SHE PREFORMS IN DENVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've never been to Denver before but I'm already planning my Drag homage. She also Dj's at the same club. I'm SOSOSO excited.

Oh... here are some photos of me.

Yea, that last photo I go from hating to loving. Meh.

Lately I've had shoes on the brain. In the last month I have acquire about 4 pairs of new shoes. I've heard many women admit to loving shoes, because no matter what body type shoes always look good on you. I sort of believe that, ish. Shoes are amazing and fun! but its also such a balance in finding the right one. As a super flat footed lady its all about the fit. I need shoes that I can walk long distances in. Unf0rtanely most cute shoes dont double as walking shoes. Each one of these shoes I adore! But they all have small issues.

Today I donned a simple outfit with the goal of showing off my shoes. Again, some more.

I found another pair of Steve Madden Oxfords for $16!!! I really am lacking in black flat shoes so I HAD to buy them. Unfortunately they are just a little small. I can usually wear an 8 1/2 but since the toe narrows so much it painful to wear for more than a couple blocks. Its more bearable with socks.

Putting on plastic boots with no tights on is murder. It took me like 4 minutes a piece to put them on. Taking them off was also equally difficult. SO many issues with these, but they look amazing. SO unique, so intense and goes with almost anything. They have a really narrow sole and they also don't breathe at all. Love is complicated.

Surprisingly out of all the pairs of shoes this one is the most comfortable. I can wear them with our without socks/tights. I can walk in them the longest and they feel good. They also have tiny heel that makes the most matures clicking sound. You know what I'm talking about! The clicking sound that heels make when you walk. Different shoes have different tones. There is the flirty click, the boss click and my mature click. Very low and commanding, but still attractive. Sorry if I totally lost you on that tangent.

The only issue is I'm still figuring out what to pair them with.

This pair of flowered kitten heels I received from a clothing exchange. It was magical, a few friends put together a clothing exchange with like sized women. There wasn't a size 2 in the house! Just us bigger girls. We made pizza, tried on clothes and yelled/laughed the whole night. I even made a banana cake that looked like a pizza. I received a few good item and these shoes. The thought that flatter shoes = comfortable, is wrong. These are actually quite painful. I think I just need to break them into my foot but its been a hard ride.

Which pair is your favorite?

On Thursday I heard a mini symphony, part of an opera and saw part of a ballet. ALL in one night! ALL in one place! Isn't that amazing!

I cant remember what group was putting it on but it was like the conglomerate of the Utah Symphony, Ballet West and the Opera? Yea I dont know. They had this amazing exclusive party for their member and there were only 50 attendants!!!! YEA 50!!! It was awesome. Then at the very end I gave a tour of the gallery.

During the tour I got SO nervous that my plastic boots began to fog up... Embarrassing! You can see it happening in this photos. Embarrassing!

Today is sunny and lovely outside. Its also not too hot, which is good for plastic shoe wearers. These shoes are extremely cute, but they don't breathe at all. Whats even worse is when your feet get hot it creates moisture in the boot and you can see it! I think I'm going to take the boots to a shoe repair shop and see if they can make gromit hole/ ventilation. I wore this outfit yesterday while teaching my scary movie class. I also wore it to the hospital. Both Thomas and Greg have commented that the boots are very Blade Runner.

I'm still playing around with the new camera. I'm sorry but for the next forever you will have to endure my mediocre photos.

Greg commented that it was "A whole lot of Outfit."

Remember its about the clothes and the new camera, and not about the stupid faces I make.

Greg is letting me borrow his Canon Rebel. Here are my first photos with a niceish camera. I think most of them turned out ok. Yesterday was SO sunny!

Last night I spent the night at a friends house. This friend has been in and out of the hospital for a few months. Her 10yo isn't taking it well. Yesterday my friend went back into the hospital and she asked me to stay with her daughter, I am her go to "Fun Aunt". In true fashion of a "Fun Aunt" I forgot what time bed time was at. oops. Last night I dreamnt about being on the beach. The waves were really strong and I was holding a plastic chair. Hmm...

Are you getting tired of my "Guess what I bought" posts? I really like to take photos of the whole process of opening a package. Its like Im opening that same package every time I see the photos. I also like to keep a records of what things looked like before I destroyed them.

Two new members of the clothing family, actually four new members if you count each shoes as its own and not as a pair.

The pair pictured below are like the kid sister version of my sexy dorothy shoes (Wizard of Oz).

This is pair of rain boots are completely amazing! I cant wait to wear them year round with my striped tights. For what they are they were quite expensive. The way I think of things is every
time you wear them you put a money value with it. With this pair of shoes I would say the money value would be really high like $20 each time because of how mind blowing they are. SO that means that they will pay themselves off in less than a week of wear.

What do you think about these new pairs of shoes? I am more than excited to have and wear them constantly.
